The Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition
Program (TREX) is a government sponsored initiative designed
to promote Alberta art and artists through professionally
developed exhibitions for use in schools, libraries,
healthcare centres, rural institutions and galleries. The
mandate is to provide all Albertans with the opportunity to enjoy
visual art exhibitions in their communities. Current exhibition
locations throughout Alberta can be seen on the AFA website: AFA TREX Map

The Alberta Society of Artists (ASA) has a long history of
producing and promoting local, regional and interprovincial
travelling exhibitions. The ASA is contracted by the Alberta
Foundation for the Arts to develop and circulate art exhibitions to
venues throughout southwest Alberta (map). These exhibitions are
designed to easily unpack, install and commercially transport.
A comprehensive education package which encourages interactive
discussion and enables teachers to lead their students in art
making activities within the classroom accompanies each
exhibition. Every year we welcome new communities and venues
to experience enriching exhibitions at an affordable cost.
Exhibition fees are $75.00 per booking. Shipping and artwork
insurance are covered by the TREX Program.

The southwest region of the TREX Program is managed through
the Calgary office of the ASA located on the third floor of the
Crossroads Market at 1235 26th Avenue SE.
