It is part of the ASA's mandate to provide exhibition opportunities for visual artists in Alberta.  Currently the ASA is organizing the art exhibition programming for two public spaces, the ASA Gallery at Lougheed House in Calgary and the ASA Gallery at Walterdale Playhouse in Edmonton.  Both galleries feature several group and some two person shows throughout the year.  Please follow the links in the menu to explore some of the past exhibitions.

In addition to this ongoing exhibition program the ASA's volunteers organize several open call exhibitions per year at other locations.  These are often group shows inspired by a central theme, often by a theatrical or dance performance.

The ASA also puts out a call for an open, juried, travelling exhibition approximately once a year.  Over the past decades this includes many noted exhibitions that travelled inside Alberta, some within Canada and one even to Japan.  Please follow the links to explore some of the past exhibitions and check our Events page to see the current calls for exhibition opportunities.
