ASA Scholarships for summerscapes at Red Deer
College
Scholarship report 2010
In total the Alberta Society of Artists awarded 14 fully paid
scholarships to attend one of two weeks of intensive art
training for teenagers during August 2010. From rural Aberta, five
high school students aged between fifteen years and eighteen years
were selected from all parts of Alberta. Three students from
Edmonton and three from Calgary were awarded
scholarships. With a donation to sponsor three students from
Athabasca and area schools, the ASA awarded scholarships to three
additional students from Athabasca, Alberta.
Scholarship report 2011
The ASA is sponsored 14 scholarships for summerscapes and
teenglass 2011. Unfortunately, teenglass was cancelled, yet all
scholarship students were placed in another class of their
choice. The students are from all parts of Alberta and our
regional selection process makes sure that all have an equal
chance. 3 further students from Athabasca are awarded
additional summerscapes scholarships thanks to the generous
donation of an ASA member.
Summer Scholarships 2012
The ASA is planning to support summer courses again next year,
so check back early in 2012 to download the new application forms.
You may also wish to download the poster and hang it up in your
school with permission of your art teacher - help spread the word
and you might attend together with a friend!
These scholarships are intended for all high school art students
in Alberta that are between 15 and 18 years of age by August 1st of
the current year. For more information please contact Jennifer at
