The Alberta Society of Artists is a registered charity whose mission is to have an active membership of professional visual artists that will strive for excellence, and shall through exhibition, education and communication, increase public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Alberta.

Full Member

Members receive the ASA newsletter, Highlights, our weekly email newsletter, an opportunity to exhibit in planned ASA exhibitions throughout Alberta, to attend lectures and workshops, to network and to participate on the ASA Website. As a full member, you have the right to place the letters ASA after your name.

There is a jury selection process for new members that is based primarily on the strength of the work submitted.  Prospective applicants must be artists who exhibit a high level of competence and professionalism, and who have an interest in contributing to the Society. All fine arts media are considered.

Post-marked by March 1 of every year.

Subscribing Member

Become a subscribing member anytime and receive the ASA newsletter, Highlights, our twice monthly email newsletter that prints notices of upcoming exhibitions, exhibition opportunities and general information. Your membership benefits also include an opportunity to network with other artists and to attend lectures and workshops. All this for $20.00 per year!

Supporting Member

Open to all. No jury and no submission deadline. 12 months of Supporting membership privaleges for $30.00. You receive both the printed newsletter / magazine and the twice monthy email newsletter. Your membership entitles you to discounts on all ASA workshops, the right to exhibit in some ASA exhibitions. You can attend all Branch Meetings of the ASA and vote at the Branch level and the ASA AGM meeting. And there is no jury!
